Which posts are best for installing sheep wire?
For installing sheep wire, it's best to use Lands End round fence posts. These posts can be placed every 2.5 or 3 meters. For best results, drive the fence posts 1/3 of the way into the ground. At the corners and at the start/end points, it's best to use posts with a diameter of 10-12 cm. For the rest of the required chestnut/robinia posts, posts with a diameter of 8-10 cm are best.
How do you stretch sheep wire?
Once the fence posts are firmly in the ground, you can attach the sheep wire to them. To tighten the sheep wire, begin by attaching it to the start and end posts using staples. Note: Make sure the wire is firmly secured to the post. You'll also use staples for the remaining posts, but the wire doesn't need to be secured to these. This makes the sheep wire easy to tension.
